reaching goal

I have almost reached my goal of unmounting all my stamps. I have about 15 sets left to go. I have unmounted a total of 50 sets as of last night. I don't think I will have time to finish before my trip this weekend. 2 full days of card making. yeah!!!!!! Hopefully I will have some really cool fall things to show after my trip.

Sunday

Well its Sunday and that means back to work tomorrow. I wish my job was stamping all the time. There are truly not enough hours in the day. I have gotten 40 stamp sets unmounted. This is by far taking me longer than I thought. I still have 15 or 20 more to go. Not sure. I think I am going to like it.
Leaving Thurs for Dallas to stamp with my sister in law for a couple of days. Hopefully by the weekend I will have some new projects to display.

Have a great week.

Well this is the Thank you card I came up with for My hubby to send out to all those who helped him at camp. I got the Compass from My going placed Cricut cartridge. I chose this because they used the theme this year east to west. The T-shirts that they got had a compass on it so this card seemed fitting. So far I have made about 20. Will need to make a few more before the weekend is over.

un mounting my stamps

Well My ez-mount sheets came in yest. I started out with 10 81/2X11 sheets. I also got a set of 5 acrylic blocks. I am quickly realizing this set is missing the size I would probably want to use the most so next time I order I will probably get this additional one. I ordered my stuff from www.ezmountstamps.com they offer free shipping for orders over $35 in the United States. Their prices seemed reasonable as well. So far I have unmounted 6 stampin up stamp sets. I think I will get one more set out of my first sheet of ezmount. These are working very well will the blocks that I got. I am also making a log on a spread sheet as I go. I have included a number for each set. The set tittle, a discription: animal, text, food ect, a more detail discription and then a column for what the text says, also the stamp set year and if it is expired. I figured if I didn't do it now I would not get it done:)

Don't know if I will get to be in the craft room today. Paul is coming home and it is his birthday. Working on homemade duplings the old fashion way. A great receipe I got from an older couple I know. Paul says it reminds him of his grandmothers. If anyone is interested e-mail me and I will send you the recipe.

Have a great weekend and remember once I have some people following my blog I am going to do a huge challenge........Even I don't know if it is possible.

a day off

Well I have today off:) YEAH!!!!!! I was hoping my ez-mount system would be here today so that I can start unmounting my stamps. I hope it comes in the mail today. I ordered them on the 4th of July. Apparently there were some supply issues from the place I ordered. OH well it is not a life or death purchase. I guess since Paul is coming home tomorrow I could always get up and clean. Once I get some people looking at my blog I am going to have a crazy challenge coming up.....Seriously it is going to be insane. I'm sure it has been done before but I wander how many people really try it....... Soon to come the big time stamper want to be first challenge. I am not posting it yet because I am not sure if I am up to it.

I was at Hobby Lobby yest and got some more ribbon. Thank you to the Pink Stamper for inspiring me to use Ribbon on my cards. It really does give them a finished look. I am not a big bow person and really love the just having the ribbon. I looked at the stamps because they were 50% off and was not inspired by any of them. I guess I am going to start shopping on line for stamps. I really like the 2 part stamping sets.

Well I better get back to it. I am going through all my stamps to make sure all my sets are together and have the tittle with them. I think as I unmount the stamps and get them set up in CD cases I am going to number each set and set up a spread sheet with this information on them. That way if I want to sort out the sayings I can quickly look through all the sayings I have and then get it from the numbered set. I didn't realize all the different saying I had until I started going through them. I am also finding that I am missing some stamps. Hopefully they will show up as I am cleaning everything out.

Have a great day:)

Why I stamp

Well this is my first post on my blog. I work full time and have no children. I have a dog. Of course it is my husbands dog but I guess that counts. My husband is currently a youth minister so we stay very busy with the kids. I have recently set up a craft room in my house and am very excited to get to use it.

I like to make cards and scrapbook. My niece who has been with us for the last 7 weeks has actually used my craft room more than I have. She is now gone and the room is allllllll mine. I hope to have a video of my room in the next couple of weeks. I also hope to post some pictures of some cards that I made and sent to the kids at camp this week. One of the benefits of working I couldn't go to camp in South East, TX (NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!) Who are they kidding.

I am currently working on 2 scrapbooks. One for my in-laws and one for another niece. Most of my scrap booking and card making Projects end up as gifts. But I really like to stamp to get away from it all and to do something nice for someone else. I know I love getting homemade cards in the mail.

I have ordered the ez-mount system to try to convert some of my stamps. I will post on here how that works and if I like it that way. Everyone says that storing Stamps in CD cases is the way to go. I purchased some CD cases and when I took them apart I can not get them to stay together again. I got them at Target but don't know the brand so I will be posting more on this issue as well. I am guessing like everything else there are good quality CD cases and not so good. I hope I bought the not so good and there is still hope out there:)
