About Me

My photo
I live in Abilene, TX with my twin boys and husband. I love to make cards and scrapbook and want to learn to sew. I love God and want to serve him every second of my life. I love the fact that I can use cards as a ministry to encourage and brighten others days.

It's Friday!

Well Robyn from my pink stamper had a drawing today for a cricut expressions. I didn't win but it was still fun to dream of all the possibilities! Maybe next time. I have made a few cards this week. I hope to post them later this weekend. Today will be a busy day. Laundry, cooking, funeral, and I hope we can get some pictures up on the wall. So I don't know if I will have time to be in my craft room or not this weekend. I hope so because I am once again starting to feel the creative juices rolling! Happy Friday everyone.

I am absolutely loving the paper dolls cricut cartridges. I didn't realized how much I would use them. I recently bought a set of stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. You can visit them at http://peachykeenstamps.com/ That is how I added the face. Way cool. The set I got comes with I think 6 different facial expressions and about 6 or 7 different sizes for each expression. That way no mater what size I cut out I should have a face to match. I am going to have to get me some more of these stamps they are awesome. If you are starting out with the cricut. I strongly encourage you to get the 2 paper dolls cartridges that are out right now.

Page 2 concert

This is the 2nd page. It has 3 random pictures from the concert. I have also added our ticket stubs. hello hurricane tour was the name of the tour. I used Winnie-the -pooh font for the letters and I again used everyday paperdoll to cut out the drum sticks and drum set as well as the doll and microphone.

Some pages to show you

This is the first page that I put together from the concert. I picked out a great stage picture and printed out on 8 1/2 x 11. I cut the guitars out using the cricut cartridge 'everyday paper dolls' and then I added stickles to them to add bling. I used my cuddle bug to emboss the word switchfoot to give it some texture. I am happy with how this page turned out.

My Pink Stamper

My Pink Stamper
Is one of my favorite blogs to check out. Check it out if you have a chance. I didn't get to finish my page today. So check back tomorrow and hopefully I will have something to show for all that money I have spent :)

frustration

Well a little bit frustrating but I guess it is to be expected. I have the bread on the final rise the roast is smelling incredible, 2nd load of laundry running, my pictures picked out but I am having problems with the printer. I guess when you let it sit to long it has issues with the ink. Well I am working on trying to resolve the problem so I can move forward and get to scrapbooking!

I up and running and ready to go! Yea!!!!!

I am looking forward to getting some things done in my craft room this week! I hope to have some pictures of my accomplishments up as early as today. We went to a Switchfoot concert last night and I have some awesome ideas for scrapbooking it. Hope it all comes out as cool as I think it will. Well before I get started I am going to get the homemade bread started. I also need to make some banana bread if the bananas are ripe enough. The roast is on for beef and noodles tonight. Will mix up the bread and get the laundry started and then away we go! Hope you all have a great week. Tell your friends about my blog. I am hoping to be posting a lot of new things from now on.

Peachy Keen

I have a stamp set from Peachy Keen that I am just dying to use. I have got to get into my craft room this week and finish setting it up and get to playing. I have wanted this set for a long time. It is faces that can go on paper dolls or whatever else I can think of. As soon as I create I will post some pictures. I am excited to get some scrapbooking/cardmaking time set up for anyone at church who wants to come. Can't wait.
