A "Man" Card!

It is my goal to finish a couple challenges this weekend and to try to do another video at some point. I love doing video's but they are very time consuming and time is just something I don't seem to have enough of. hmmmmm I doubt I'm the only one:) Anyway thought I would try to post a card everyday this weekend. So here is my first. This stamp was given to my by my sister-in-law. THANKYOU ALLISON I LOVE IT! I'm not sure where she got it from but my husband uses duck tape for everything. He is constantly made fun of because he even carries some in his wallet. It is kind of funny that the same people who make fun of him are the ones that will come and say, Do you have some duck tape in your wallet still, I need it for ....." anyway I hope you enjoy this one. As always I love comments so if you stop by please leave me a comment. Even if you don't like my blog I am always open to good comments and constructive criticism.

Thank you and have a blessed day!

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge

Wow it has been awhile since I have done a challenge. This weeks challenge was back to school using the Paisley Cartridge. I don't have the paisley cartridge so I used Locker Talk. I made this card for a teacher friend who is starting school. I just wanted to let her know I was thinking about her as she enters a new year.

Mystery Dinner

I had the most fun with a some friends of ours 9 year old triplets. They came and hung out with me yest while there mom was working and we planned a big dinner for her when she came to pick them up. It was soooo much fun. First the girls picked the name Mystery Italian restaurant. Each one of them made a sign with one of the 3 words. They also made 4 cards. One for appetizer, main course, dessert and salad. We then decorated the dining room like an Italian restaurant and had music playing in the background. Ok here's how it went down. First the 4 cards were part of the centerpiece and there mom had to pick a card and that decided what we were going to eat. Each girl too turns serving and when it was time to serve they wore an apron. It was a lot of fun. We ate in this order. Appetizer, main course, dessert and salad. A lot of fun was had by all. We had for an appetizer some sausage and cheese wrapped in croissants, cheese raviolis, Cesear salad and Texas sheet cake all of which the girls also made. Now for the bad news I didn't get any pictures and their signs and cards turned out sooooo nice. I am going to try to get some pictures to post later from there mom. Here are a couple of pictures of us making things. My room is now a mess and may take a year to get put back together but it was so much fun.

Thinking of you birdie

I decided to use some different colors on this one. I wish I could find a challenge using orange and pink. Strange colors but I think the card turned out ok.

A litte different

This card is a little different from what I usually do but I liked the way it turned out. I borrowed one of the boarder embossing dies from my sister in law and made this cute card. I also cut the butterflies out and glued them together to give the 3d effects. They butterflies were cut using a stampin up whole punch. (also borrowed). The because I care is a stamin up stamp as well.

I used stickles to put a little extra touch to the embossed flowers. can't get the full effect from the picture.

Teresa

Whale Wishes

I cut this wale from Create a Critter. I cut off the water that comes with it and used a stamp from stamin up to make the saying well wishes then glued it on. The sea weed at the bottom is also from the same stampin up stamp set. Not sure what is is called.

Dinner and Movie

This card I made to give to my husband for a free dinner and movie of his choice. I used the Mickey and Friends cartridge. I love the Disney cartridges but wow are they involved!

Howdy

This horse is from create a critter! I really am loving this cart. I know it is probably considered an old cart by now. LOL any way I was pleasantly surprised with how well this Howdy cut out. Hope you enjoy.

upcomming

Wow this has been a week! I am sooooooo glad to have Friday's off. First I need to get caught up on my cleaning. My DH is not feeling well this week and so we have gotten a little behind on house work. He does so much to help me! I am very lucky. I have a couple things I need to get done. First I made my dad's Father day card and forgot to mail it! Sorry dad its going to be late. I also have to get Paul's dads card made and in the mail. Next I need to come up with a cute project for throwback Thursday. We are using one of my favorite carts Paper dolls! Yeah! But the twist is 3d hmmmmmmmm wander what I'll do. If we go into town maybe I'll swing by Target and see if there is anything in the dollar bin that needs decorated. I don't have any idea at this point. I need to film a video sometime this weekend. And I need to work on scrapbook pages to add to my friends baby book I made here. I think I'm going to try to do a baby smiles page and a fourth of July page. Eating, and crawling, walking, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentines day and Easter will probably finish it up. How much can I complete this weekend?????? When I'm done I will do a short video of the pages. I may even add into the video how I made one of the pages. Don't worry after that I am on to a couple other projects I am working on for other people so there is plenty in store. Maybe one day I will get to my own projects. Now on to cleaning so I can get started!

Monday, Monday, Monday

Wow today was a really long day! It was definitely a Monday. I was hoping to work in my craft room tonight but it is just not going to happen. I would really like to know how those of you that work find time to get into the craft room. Some days after multi-tasking all day I just can't get it together enough to get in there and do the things I would really like to do.
Hopefully will get in there tomorrow night and get some things done.

Baby Shower

We had a great time at the baby shower. I think at one time we counted 36 people squeezed into my living room. It was busting at the scenes and we were having a great time! This is the card I made to go with my gift. Part of my gift was the thank you cards I made the video of earlier this week. I also put together a photo album for her. I have only completed some of the pages and when I finish the rest I will put together a video of them all. Hope you all have a great weekend. By the way I used Create a Critter a lot in the pages I have completed so far.

Thank you Baby cards

Ok I stayed up until 3:30 last night working on part of my present for the Baby Shower next weekend. I am liking the way the thank you cards are turning out. I still am waiting on my hubby to make it back with the camera so I can Post a picture. I am thinking about filming a video of how I made them. We will see........ I have so many projects to do today. Laundry, sweeping, dusting, all the house duties. Dinner at church tomorrow so need to get food together. In the craft room I have to get the baby album done. Still trying to decide how I want to do it. I was going to do first but instead of saying firsts, I think I am just going to do a page for different things. Riding in a car, sleeping, bathing, family picture, a page for a picture with grand parents, sisters, mom, dad, and major holidays, maybe crawling, and eating..... We will see. I may do a video of the finished product if time allows. I also need to finish my nieces album. I am only 9 months late on that one.... sorry! I haven't scrapped much of my own stuff. I am just curious if anyone out there is totally caught up on their scrap booking and what that really looks like. I really need to get some cards made for my dh to use at work. He does a great job of sending out cards when I have them organized for him. It is such a great ministry for both of us.
Well the laundry beeper is going off so I guess my few minutes of rest is over. Will let you know how much I get done today. I still need to post the challenge for My Creative time blog as well.
Did I mention is it really hot here in Texas! I hope to get in the little blow up above ground Pool tonight when my DH gets home.

Teresa

My Creative Time Challenge

Well I made a card for the My Creative Time challenge only to find out that Paul took the camera with him today. I have also started working on another project. I will hopefully have pictures posted by Sat night.

Have a great weekend.

Awsome Great News!

Some friends are coming for a last min visit! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! We will have children in the house for a couple days! I love the sound of kido's. I can't wait until Paul and I adopt. All you people out there who complain about your kids have no idea how quiet and lonely a house is without them. Ok I'll get off my soap box. We are trying to get our pool up and running so maybe the boys can swim on Monday. I hope it works out. Ok so I am going to try to get my fathers day card made and up before they get here tonight around 10:00 for the Pink stamper challenge. I will get it up as soon as possible!

Hope everyone is having a great memorial day weekend! Mine is turning out to be pretty supper special!

Have you seen that My pink Stamper is giving away the Cricut Expressions. Go visit her link to see how to win. You can find here link on my blog. I am already thinking about a little project for my dad I may try to do.

I am working on a scrapbook for a baby. 8X8 with each page being a first. First hair cut, first tooth, first lost tooth, first ride in car. first Of each major Holiday. I will have a spot for one picture on each page and some decorations. If you have any ideas of some first please let me know. I don't have kids so I'm sure I will miss a lot of things. I only have 2 weeks to get this done....... So please help with ideas.

Well I have a lot to do and need to get to it. Hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend. Please say extra prayers for our military this weekend. They are such an important part of this country.

New Card "Shut up Joe"

Happy Friday everyone!

Ok I am usually not this rude. My husband asked me to make a card after golfing with Joe. It was only Paul's second time to go golfing and he kept missing the ball. I'm not saying that Joe made fun of Paul but apparently Paul was saying shut up a lot. Hince the Shut up Joe card. Hope Joe appreciates this card.

I used the Sports Mania Cartridge to make this one. And I used my software and the Don Juan to weld the letters together for the words. I drew stitches around the letters but it is hard to see that on this picture. The thinking of you is from the stampin up set Warmest regards. I used Stazon Timber Brown ink.

Little unwelcome visitor

Ok so I went into my craft room tonight to make a quick card for a friend who has had a rough week and low and behold when I opened my drawer at my cricut station to get out my cutting mat I found a bunch of torn up paper and matting stuffed in the drawer. Yes you guest it a mouse has decided to make his home in with my cricut items. I am not found of these little creatures even though they make cute cards they are not welcome in my space. War has officially been started. That little guy is going down. So needless to say It may be a few days before I get up the nerve to go back in there. My husband will have to show proof that the dead mouse is leaving the house in the trap that he set.
I love everything about living in the country but mice and snakes. If you have a story about the adventures of little mice and how you got them to go away please feel free to share.

Birthday cards

Well I made 6 of these cards. Not sure yet what I will do with them. I may give them as a gift. Or just give them individually.

Here is what I used to make them:
Cupcake - cut at 3 1/2 in. From My Kitchen
Stamp - Birthday Wishes from Stampin up For a Friend Stamp Set
Stickles - Yellow and Frosted Lace
Cuddle Bug - Swiss Dots on icing
Ink - Stazon - Timber Brown.

Back Home

Well it has been a busy couple of days. We made it back from Tenn late last night. Wow what a trip. Rain leaving Nashville all the way to Decaturville where we went to church with some dear friends. Then when we got about 50 miles east of Little Rock we ran into more storms until about an hour on the other side of Little Rock. The rest of the trip was just long. But we made it home and are resting today and getting all those little things done. While I was on the trip My Pink Stamper put out a challenge to use Yellow, Brown and Green. I decided to make a thank you card for a dear friend at church who babysat our puppy and have used these colors. Hope it is not too late to enter the challenge.

I used the following to make this card:
Thank So Much - Stampin up stamp from Nice and Easy. I just used the words
Bone and Dog print Brads are from Micheal's.
The Dog was cut out at 3 inch from the Animal Kingdom Cartridge Page 128 Dog #5
The Ribbon - is 2 ribbons glued together
The Paper was stamped using ART GONE WILD- Cube #987 using Versa Mark ink.

Hope you enjoy.

Trip to Tennessee

Well I am now in AR heading toward Tenn. Looking forward to being with my family. It has been 5 years since we have all been together. My mom always says wedding and funerals are what brings us together since we are so spread out. I am dying to be in my craft room but have to wait until monday to get back to it. I thought I would post a scrapbook page that I did last year of my two nephews. It is probably way back on my blog somewhere but I just wanted to get something up today. I used the Winnie-the-pooh cartridge! I had to try the sample that they gave in the book because it looked so cute. I think it turned out pretty good!

I had told a friend a couple months ago I would get them my recipe for my Texas Sheet cake. Well I kept forgetting to do it so I thought I would put together a cute little card and add the recipe to is since I made her wait so long. I hope she enjoys the card as well as the cake.

Getting ready for our trip.

We will be leaving Thurs to go to Tenn to my nephews wedding so I thought I would make some little treat bags for all the family staying in the hotel. These were fun and easy to make. I only put together 19 of these so it didn't take long at all.

Nurse Graduation Card

I made this card for another friend. The nurse was cut from Everyday Paper Doll at 4 inch. The stamp Congratulations is from Stampin up Warmest regards. I used my Peachykeen Everyday Character face Assortment 5/8 inch stamp. I love these stamps. Because I had the face stamp I cut the black out paper doll body. I get so much use out of the paper doll cartridges and can't wait for them to come out with another one.

Harding Graduation Card.

I made this card for a friend. Pluto was cut using my Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge 3 inches. I used Everyday Paper doll to cut the hat and Diploma at 3 inches. I used the cuddlebug, Houndstooth embossing folder to emboss the background. I used the Congratulations stamp from Warmest regards. This was a lot of fun to make. I am loving the Mickey and Friends Cartridge. It is becoming my favorite.

Thinking of you card

I made this card for a friend who has been having a rough go of it. I used the Thinking of you Stamp from Stampin up Warmest Regards. I also used the Old West Cricut Cartridge to cut out the Horse at 2 3/4 in, the Rope at 2 inch, Fence at 2 1/4. I cut the green with Stampin up Scallop border punch.

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Here are a few cards I have been working on.

New Projects completed

This is a page I made from the ladies cookie exchange on valentine's day. I used the everyday paperdoll cricut cartridge for the Ragedy ann and Andy dolls. I used the From My Kitchen cartridge to make the cookies and ginger bread. I used the Simply Sweet for the letters and Doodlecharm's for the harts. It was fun using my faces from peachykeen on the dolls and on the gingerbread cookies. This was a fun time together with the ladies from church. The decorations were beautiful and made for a fun event to scrapbook.

It's Friday!

Well Robyn from my pink stamper had a drawing today for a cricut expressions. I didn't win but it was still fun to dream of all the possibilities! Maybe next time. I have made a few cards this week. I hope to post them later this weekend. Today will be a busy day. Laundry, cooking, funeral, and I hope we can get some pictures up on the wall. So I don't know if I will have time to be in my craft room or not this weekend. I hope so because I am once again starting to feel the creative juices rolling! Happy Friday everyone.

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

I am absolutely loving the paper dolls cricut cartridges. I didn't realized how much I would use them. I recently bought a set of stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. You can visit them at http://peachykeenstamps.com/ That is how I added the face. Way cool. The set I got comes with I think 6 different facial expressions and about 6 or 7 different sizes for each expression. That way no mater what size I cut out I should have a face to match. I am going to have to get me some more of these stamps they are awesome. If you are starting out with the cricut. I strongly encourage you to get the 2 paper dolls cartridges that are out right now.

Page 2 concert

This is the 2nd page. It has 3 random pictures from the concert. I have also added our ticket stubs. hello hurricane tour was the name of the tour. I used Winnie-the -pooh font for the letters and I again used everyday paperdoll to cut out the drum sticks and drum set as well as the doll and microphone.

Some pages to show you

This is the first page that I put together from the concert. I picked out a great stage picture and printed out on 8 1/2 x 11. I cut the guitars out using the cricut cartridge 'everyday paper dolls' and then I added stickles to them to add bling. I used my cuddle bug to emboss the word switchfoot to give it some texture. I am happy with how this page turned out.

My Pink Stamper

My Pink Stamper
Is one of my favorite blogs to check out. Check it out if you have a chance. I didn't get to finish my page today. So check back tomorrow and hopefully I will have something to show for all that money I have spent :)

frustration

Well a little bit frustrating but I guess it is to be expected. I have the bread on the final rise the roast is smelling incredible, 2nd load of laundry running, my pictures picked out but I am having problems with the printer. I guess when you let it sit to long it has issues with the ink. Well I am working on trying to resolve the problem so I can move forward and get to scrapbooking!

I up and running and ready to go! Yea!!!!!

I am looking forward to getting some things done in my craft room this week! I hope to have some pictures of my accomplishments up as early as today. We went to a Switchfoot concert last night and I have some awesome ideas for scrapbooking it. Hope it all comes out as cool as I think it will. Well before I get started I am going to get the homemade bread started. I also need to make some banana bread if the bananas are ripe enough. The roast is on for beef and noodles tonight. Will mix up the bread and get the laundry started and then away we go! Hope you all have a great week. Tell your friends about my blog. I am hoping to be posting a lot of new things from now on.

It is faces that can go on paper dolls or whatever else I can think of. As soon as I create I will post some pictures. I am excited to get some scrapbooking/cardmaking time set up for anyone at church who wants to come. Can't wait.

Help Cricut celebrate our 100th Cricut cartridge—Winter Woodland! . They are giving away 100 cartridges over the next five weeks (20 per week).

Here’s how it will work.

Each week they will be posting a thread. When you respond to the thread you will be entered to win. You can enter once by replying and you can enter a second time by posting on your blog about the celebration and linking back to the cartridge product page.
